Follow Christ; reject the world

My son, knock on yourself as on a door. Walk on yourself as on a straight road. If you walk on the road, it is impossible for you to go astray. If you knock with this Wisdom, you will knock on hidden treasures.
Christ has come to you. He has knocked at the door of your soul. Open. Let him in.
Do not be like the fools who fear death. Death is the gate to life. The body is the prison of the soul. When the prison falls, the soul is free.
Do not be like the fools who love the world. The world is a market; the buying and the selling are vanity. Buy only the pearl. Sell only what is fleeting.
Take refuge in Christ. He is your fortress. The waves of the world cannot reach you. The fires of the passions cannot burn you. He shall keep you.
And in the end, when you are perfected, you shall be lifted up to the Father. There is your home.
Such are the teachings of Silvanus. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
