CH XI (excerpt) — Mind to Hermes

Hear, my son, how God and the All are made. God, eternity, the cosmos, time, becoming.
God makes eternity; eternity makes the cosmos; the cosmos makes time; time makes becoming. God's nature is the Good; eternity's nature is sameness; the cosmos's nature is order; time's nature is change; becoming's nature is life and death.
The energies of God are Mind and soul. The energy of eternity is permanence and immortality. The energy of the cosmos is generation and destruction. The energy of time is increase and decrease. The energy of becoming is quality.
Eternity is in God, the cosmos in eternity, time in the cosmos, becoming in time. And eternity stands fast around God; the cosmos is moved in eternity; time is brought to consummation in the cosmos; becoming comes to be in time.
All things, therefore, are full of God. He is everywhere, and nowhere. He is in all that is, and not contained by what is. He is the unbegotten and the begetting; he is the unmoved and the moving.
Therefore, son, contemplate God in this manner: the All is in him; he is in himself. He is the Mind of the Mind. He is the Light of light. To him is the song; from him is the song; he is the song.
