I, Allogenes, withdrew within myself, and I was lifted up by a luminous cloud. I saw a great light, and a single voice spoke from the cloud, saying, Allogenes — having become perfect — listen.

As you are knowing the unknowable, in respect of yourself, withdraw to Vitality, in respect of yourself, withdraw to Mentality. Receive a noetic image of yourself.

Then I prepared myself. I was filled with revelation. I had a vision of the perfect Triple-Power, the truly existing One, the One who is at rest in himself. He is the boundary of all things, the cause of all things — and yet he is uncaused.

He is silence and the source of silence. He is rest, the source of rest. He is the Father of the All. From him have come those who exist; from him have come the aeons. He is everywhere, he is in nothing. He is unknowable; from him comes every knowledge. He is unmoved; from him comes every motion.

Do not look for him with the eye, for the eye does not see him. Do not seek him with the mind, for the mind does not grasp him. Do not say of him, He is. Do not say of him, He is not. He is beyond Being and beyond Non-Being. Be silent — and through silence you shall know him.
