I am Allogenes the Stranger. The discourses I am going to write are those that the holy Youel revealed to me concerning the all-perfect.
When she had spoken concerning the holy Spirit, the Three-Powered One who is the original Aeon-of-the-Aeon, she said: Allogenes — and I was lifted up by the holy Spirit and was caught up to a place from where the great glorious holy Spirit is to be seen.
And I saw a noetic vision of the One who is from the original Aeon. The Aeon of Barbelo: And I saw within her a Three-Powered Triple-Male. He is the Three-Powered One. He is Existence, He is Vitality, He is Mentality.
When I beheld him, I withdrew. I went into reflection upon him. And there came a fear of falling away, that I might wonder about him without limit. I tried to know him within myself.
Youel said to me, Allogenes, in your reflection on yourself, fear not. Be at peace within yourself. Do not be afraid of him whom you call He-Who-Is. He is in everything that exists; he sees, but is not seen.
And after a hundred years had passed, I prepared myself. I withdrew to the mountain of revelation, that I might be alone in seeking. I gave myself a sacrifice for many days. And there appeared to me the holy Spirit, the great unknowable invisible One.
