Gudea Cylinders A and B — the longest extant Sumerian literary work. Gudea of Lagash receives the temple plan in a dream, builds it, and dedicates it to Ningirsu.

Sumerian royal-religious composition. Inscribed on two great clay cylinders (c. 2125 BCE). A close analogue to the temple-building accounts of Solomon’s temple in 1 Kings / 2 Chronicles.
