The Book of Allogenes (Tchacos) · Chapter 3

The closing testimony

1Allogenes said, My disciples, hear what I have spoken to you, and treasure these words; for they are the words of the great invisible Spirit. Do not give them to the foolish.

2[Lines damaged.] If anyone asks you, Where do you come from?, say, We are from the Father, the unbegotten one. If anyone asks, Who is the Father?, say, He is the one who is — the silence and the light, the Father of every aeon.

3And if any of the rulers of this world try to seize you, say to them, We are not yours. Go from us; we belong to him who has sent us.

4And the powers will release you, and you will pass through them, until you arrive at the cloud of light. And there you will rest with the holy generation, the immortal generation, forever.

5[…] And when Allogenes had finished speaking these words, he said to them, Peace be with you, my brothers; the peace of the Father be with you. And he was no more seen by them.

6Such was the testimony of Allogenes the Stranger.
