I shall tell you the truth concerning the Father. He is silent. He is the source. He is the depth.
From the Father came forth the Mind, his Image. From the Mind came forth the Word, the Logos. From the Logos came forth the Aeons — the Pleroma — in pairs.
The youngest Aeon, Sophia, sought to know the Father directly. Her over-reaching produced an emission that fell from the Pleroma. The emission became the cause of the world.
The Saviour was sent to gather the spiritual seed. He took on a body of soul, that he might appear in the world. He came to those who could receive him. He restored the spiritual to the Pleroma.
This is the truth concerning the Father, the Pleroma, the fall, and the salvation. He who has gnosis is at rest.
